Allman Brothers Band streaming "One Way Out" live in '73

To mark the 40th anniversary of Brothers and Sisters, the Allman Brothers Band are re-releasing the 1973 record as deluxe two-CD and four-CD sets, with the four-CD set featuring two live discs from Winterland in San Francisco, recorded on September 26th, 1973. A live version of "One Way Out" is streaming now.

Bruce Springsteen keeps the E Street Band guessing

E Street Band guitarist Nils Lofgren has revealed that while Bruce Springsteen always writes a set list, The Boss never follows it.
"Sometimes he'll change the first song on the way to the stage because he hears the roar of the crowd and gets a better idea. All night long he's getting better ideas," Lofgren says. "He's a master of stream of consciousness – he's always challenging himself to make each show unique, something you'll never see again."

Mick Jagger's hair, Jimi Hendrix's scarf and more headed for auction

Items that will be up for auction by Bonham's on July 3rd include a lock of Mick Jagger's hair, handwritten David Bowie lyrics of "Jean Genie," animation drawings from Pink Floyd's The Wall movie, a letter from Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull, John Entwistle handwritten sleeve notes, a scarf worn on stage by Jimi Hendrix, Cream tour paperwork and an Afghan coat owned by Marc Bolan.

Sharon Osbourne moves back in with Ozzy

According to TMZ, Sharon Osbourne has moved back in with Ozzy after he convinced her that he's been drug and alcohol free for months.

Sharon has reportedly also hired a "sober team" to monitor Ozzy 24/7 and help him steer clear of potential hazards.

Keith Richards on turning 70: "Everybody should try it if they can get there"

In a just-published cover-story for Men's Journal, Keith Richards opens up on a wide range of topics, including his complicated relationship with Mick Jagger and his thoughts on turning 70 this December.

"A lot of these things are blown way out of whack," Richards says, addressing ongoing speculation about tensions between him and the Stones frontman. "It's like two very volatile brothers – when they clash, they really clash, but when it's over, it's over because we both know we need each other; we both enjoy working with each other. Ninety percent of the time it's as cool as can be, then, of course, the people only get to hear about the 10. And the 10 are pretty fierce."

Asked about hitting the big "7-0," Richards says, "Everybody should try it if they can get there. If I had a secret, I'd bottle it maybe. I just happen to be here. Just string it, and play it low."

Black Sabbath's 13 hit number one in the UK album charts, the first time an album by the band has held that spot since 1970's Paranoid, meaning that Black Sabbath now hold the record for the longest gap between number one hits.

Def Leppard guitarist won't let cancer stop him from touring

Def Leppard's Vivian Campbell says he is committed to the band's summer touring plans despite his recent cancer diagnosis.

"I posted about my cancer diagnosis (Hodgkin's Lymphoma) on my personal FB page a couple of days ago," the guitarist writes. "Thank you to all who have offered support; I'm very, very touched by that. Be assured, however, that the Last In Line shows will still be happening in August - I have no intention of letting cancer slow me down. I look forward to seeing you all then. Vivian."

Ozzy Osbourne reveals more Black Sabbath drummer drama

Ozzy Osbourne says that Tommy Clufetos, who's served as Black Sabbath's live drummer since their reunion but was replaced by Brad Wilk for the band's studio album, was not dealt with professionally.

"I don't really want to go into it. We had Tommy on hold, and it just didn't work out. We were going to use Tommy at the beginning and Rick was against it," Osbourne says, referring to producer Rick Rubin. "It turned out that it wasn't dealt with professionally, and I got a bit pissed off. The way it was dealt with was wrong – you can't keep people waiting for nothing."

“Anyway, Tommy’s doing a great job on the road with Sabbath,” Osbourne adds.

Asked for his recollections of what happened with original Black Sabbath drummer Bill Ward, the singer says, “To be absolutely truthful with you, I can’t really remember; it was such a long time ago. We just didn’t have the time to keep the people waiting another f***ing ten years. We would have loved Bill to step up to the plate but it never worked out. I still love him to death – it’s sad that it didn’t work out. But hey; we’ve got an album. We’re all really happy. I don’t suppose Bill is that happy.”
