I just read an article in the metro about an experiment involving 2800 cars and trucks in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Wireless devices installed in the vehicles will send signals to each other warning drivers of various different traffic issues. They are hoping the devices can warn of things like stopped traffic ahead, a car blowing through a red light and even allow a car to change the light to green if no cars are coming the other way. That would be awesome. Think of all those times you've sat at a red light with no one in sight for miles.

They have no idea when these cars who can communicate will be ready for the general public but they are working on them.

If my car could talk it would probably say "move it buddy". Apparently I say that a lot without realizing it because my 6 year old says it every time I stop at the lights.
