Original Rush drummer John Rutsey died this past weekend at the age of 55. Rutsey's death was announced by Rush's management company, Anthem Management. The cause of death was not disclosed. Rutsey and guitarist Alex Lifeson formed Rush in 1968, with bassist/singer Geddy Lee joining a short time later. Rutsey played on the band's self-titled 1974 debut album, but left the group due to health concerns. A diabetic, Rutsey was unable to commit to long-term touring and elected to step down. LAST POLICE CONCERT....EVERThe Police announced tuesday (may 6/08) that their final concert ever will be in New York sometime in August. (NYC's CBGB's is where the Police started their first tour in 1978) This final concert will be a fundraiser with proceeds benefitting the production arts programming for two New York PBS stations. PIGS FLY THEN DIE
Roger Water's flying pig, has been found. the pig floated off into the desert night during the Roger's headling set, at the Coachell festival on Sunday. the two story pig was found a few miles from the festival grounds in pieces by the Stolz family who spotted " glob of vinyl" in their driveway and threw it in the trash before reading about it in the paper the next morning. Coachell festival organizers will give $10,000 reward money to the Stolz family who plan to hand it over to a music group for kids.Check out Roger at Coachella by clicking below video...
