Well I guess you could say Christmas is here... it's a winter wonderland!! I spent the weekend in Mission with good friends, warm drinks, and good food. You know, thats my favorite part of the holidays...people throw parties so everyone can get together..and there's ALWAYS food, I love the appies!
This week it's just Jake and I, Marty's on vacation... and we're launching "On the Record." It's going to be awesome, three times a week for eight weeks we're going to have a celebrity in, playing their favorite picks from different classic rock bands, and telling us why they picked it! I'm over the moon excited for this to start, so this week Jake and I are bringing in some of our records and giving this a little kick start! Enjoy!!

What can you say about Linden that hasn't already been said?? He's a great leader, hockey player, and humanitarian. The amount of things he's done for the community is endless, and will continue. I personally, have always been a Linden fan, my favorite hockey player, and my hero. Last night watching that ceremony was awesome... tears flowed, and I especially lost it when they raised number 16 into the rafters. I was watching the game with my brother Trent, and cousins Troy and Dane, and we were stoked that the Canucks came out on top, great game!!
#16 FOREVER!!!

I figured out today that christmas is in 9 days, and it stopped me dead in my tracks! I have a lot of shopping to do still.... Although today we had listeners calling in with the weirdest/worst gifts they've recieved on the big day, from wicker bird cages with stuffed birds inside to outhouse cone sticks (which is a stick that in the winter will knock off the top of the frozen mess). Needless to say it sprouted a few gift ideas, that I know my friends and family will love haha!

What a week it's been so far... With the Toys for Teens event on Tuesday where all of the Vancouver radio stations banded together and raised close to $70,000 as well as 91 boxes of toys. Now today we're doing the 12 hours of Christmas where Rock 101 is on location at Coquitlam center, auctioning off a variety of prize packs for the Make a Wish Foundation. I'm amazed by the genorosity of everyone who has taken part in these events, especially right before Christmas!
This weekend I have my friend, Hot Toni's birthday.. Thats right, Hot Toni! Should be a great time, and I'll make sure to include some pictures of the festivities! This picture however, are when good girls go bad!! and by that I mean dress up as men for halloween and hump...

Well lucky me, I got to go and see Cheech & Chong on Friday night, and I'm sure glad I did!! It was HILARIOUS!!! Those guys still got it, from the "maaaans" to the music, it was awesome.They did all their funny bits, pretty much spot on, except they had updated them... which was unexpected and great! The other funny thing that night was that everyone in the Queen E was smoking weed, and the only thing the people working at the venue seemed to be concerned about were cameras and people taking pictures!!! I did, however, manage to snap this shot.. enjoy!
