With the Rock 101 House Band BANG live in studio, we challenged our listeners to submit lyrics celebrating Vancouver Canuck Alex Burrows – lyrics that would fit into a remake of the ZZ Top classic "Heard It On The X", hereafter known as "Heard It Was Alex".
The creativity cascaded as listeners called in, emailed and texted their suggested lyrics, such as:
"Awesome player coach's dream he always plays to win,
He's always getting lucky with a pair of Swedish Twins”
and
"Everyone cheer now – have a beer now –
He's dashing, he's flashing I'm talking 'bout Al-ex!"
Rock 101 Listeners proved once again that they are as much a part of the show as the show itself! Thanks!
