It’s truly unbelievable the changes that have occurred in Vancouver over the last 50 years. Take a journey back in time, while still staying in the present day due to a clever side by side process and see the kind of changes I mean.
First we travel from The North Shore to Burnaby over a pretty quiet Lions Gate Bridge. The 1966 footage was shot on 16mm and it was a real job to locate a 16mm projector to reveal the film. When the Ministry of Transport employees who discovered the film, finally acquired a projector from somebody’s basement the light bulb blew. A new one had to be sent from New York.
