Hey it’s Scott Alan,
It’s a question that has plagued mankind for decades. How old it too old to Trick or Treat?
Lizzie Post from the Emily Post Institute says that if teenagers are going to continue going door to door, the etiquette is that they should be polite, wear non-scary costumes and give younger kids priority at the door. Psychologist Michele Borba says parents should find out why teens want to Trick or Treat (free candy?), then figure out solutions. For example, a specific window of time when teens can be out getting their sugary loot.
Perhaps they should take their allowance or earnings from that first job and BUY themselves some candy? Just a thought.
