Hey it’s Scott Alan,
Sounds like we’re on track for the legalization of marijuana here in BC, but harder drugs? Forget it.
A survey from Insights West finds 70% of British Columbians support the legalization of weed. The federal government promises to make it legal by July.
The same poll found that folks can’t really agree on how to sell marijuana legally or how old the buyer should be.
As far as harder drugs, people in BC still say “no thanks” to legalization. 80% oppose legalizing heroin, cocaine and ecstasy. 85% are against making crack, crystal meth and fentanyl ok.
The government already makes a bundle taxing booze. The sooner they do the same for pot, the better I say (and I don’t even partake. This opinion is purely fiscal).
