Science meets Music in this incredible story!
Abhishek Prasad suffers from a neurological condition known as ‘Musician’s Dystonia’ (which would make for a rad EP title, by the way) that’s basically a severe form of cramps. It caused his middle, pinky and ring fingers on his left hand to not function properly, which made playing the guitar difficult to do to say the least.
During the surgery, his doctors asked him to play the guitar so they could locate and target the abnormalities in his brain, and essentially burn those circuits. Pretty cool.
Imagine having your head cut wide open and still jamming out?! If that’s not rock ‘n’ roll, we don’t know what is!
The surgery, which lasted 7 hours, was a success and now Prasad is on this way to a full recovery and banging out some awesome tunes!
This is next level love of music and we’re pretty blown away.
