Hey it’s Scott Alan,
Another scorcher in BC over the Labour Day long weekend meant that 44 temperature records fell around the province. Forty four!
The hot spot was Squamish where a new record of 38.2°C was set on Sunday, obliterating the old record of 28.5°C set in 1990.
According to Environment Canada, the warm air and smoke that has settled over the province are trapping the heat in and causing the record temperatures.
Fear not. We’ll be complaining about the rain in no time.
