Hey it’s Scott Alan,
Do you like pizza? Of course you do! Everyone seems to have a favorite pie. They’ll tell you where “the best pizza” can be found.
Now because pizza can be thin crust, normal crust, Chicago-style deep dish – it can be round or square – by the pie or by the slice – the “best” pizza may depend on what you’re looking for.
As I am a Poco guy, here are my choices for Top 5 Pizza Joints (in no particular order) in the Tri Cities:
PAPA DAVE’S PIZZA – 2580 Kingsway Ave, Port Coquitlam. Big, thick and lots of toppings. Papa Dave’s was the first place we tried when we moved to the area. When I’m starving it’s still a go-to because they’re generous with the toppings and they’re close to the house!
ME-N-ED’S – 2233 McAllister Ave, Port Coquitlam & 1121 Austin Ave, Coquitlam. The masters of thin crust pizza. Crispy and perfect! A good sit down joint as well, since they offer the full restaurant experience. A little pricier than the rest, but worth it.
PIZZA ISLAND & INDIAN SPICE – 2733 Barnet Hwy #103, Coquitlam. I love this place because if I want pizza and the wife wants a curry, we’re both happy! Have yet to try a dish we haven’t loved. Thicker crust pizza if that’s your thing.
SAN REMO RESTAURANT – 3008 Flint St, Port Coquitlam. Best Chicago deep dish possibly in the Lower Mainland! Many would pick this as their favorite. Order if hungry. You’ll get what you paid for.
GOLDEN BOOT CAFE – 1028 Ridgeway Ave, Coquitlam. Authentic Italian fare! A full menu. The pizza is crispy and delicious! Just like you had on that backpacking trip through Italy all those years ago.
Honorable mentions – the area is served by all of the big pizza chains. If you’re looking for a deal, Megabite and Domino’s won’t disappoint.
