Hey it’s Scott Alan,
Foo Fighters were supposed to perform on Sunday night’s Emmy Awards broadcast, but Dave Grohl says they were “kicked off” the show by the Fox network, which telecast the ceremony.
A rep for Grohl told TMZ that the band was set to become the first rock band to ever play the Emmys, but then explained, “Fox then refused to allow the band to play a full song from the Emmy-winning Sonic Highways.” Fox reportedly wanted the band to play half of a song from Sonic Highways and then play part of their hit song “Learn to Fly,” but Grohl and the band refused. Reps for both the Emmys and Fox did not issue any comments on the matter at press time.
Sonic Highways picked up Emmys for Outstanding Sound Editing and Outstanding Sound Mixing in a ceremony on September 12th.
