RINGO is about to have a massive garage sale this december to raise money to benefit the couple’s Lotus Children Foundation. included in the auction is his iconic 3 piece L:udwig drum kit that was used in over 200 performances and recordings with the BEATLES. The more than 800 Beatles-owned objects will be on the auction block December 4th and 5th at Julien’s Auctions in Beverly Hills, Ca. Ringo said the idea came after The Grammy Museum in Los Angeles asked him to do an exhibition about his life and music couple of years ago. ‘It started with me looking at storage units we have all around the world ….we have so much stuff and a lot of it we haven’t seen in 20 to 30 years’.
