good morning it’s Robin LaRose;
Keith Richards has his 1st new solo album “CROSSEYED HEART” September 18th. It’s Keith’s first since 1992’s “Main Offender” and features 16 tracks (15 original written with Steve Jordan and one Led Belly cover called “Good Night Irene”) He’s joined by the Xpensive Wino’s & guest vocalist Norah Jones on the track “illusion”
The First single is called “TROUBLE”
Since the Stones wrapped their tour in Quebec city last July, Keith’s still on the job giving lots of interviews about the “new” project and music in general. He told Esquire mag that the Beatles Sgt.Peppers album was a “mishmash of rubbish, kind of like “Satanic Majesties Request.” Most recently he talked with the New York Daily News, ripping apart rap music, heavy metal, (Black Sabbath & Metallica ) and the Beatles . Keith said rap was for “tone deaf people” and said “millions are in love with Black Sabbath & Metallica. I just thought they were great jokes.” Read the interviews for yourself and have a good laugh and check out Crosseyed Heart (which will be released on September 18, the same day the documentary “UNDER THE INFLUENCE” debuts on Netflix). Directed by Morgan Neville, whose film 20 Feet From Stardom won the Best Documentary Award at last year’s Oscars, the movie draws on hours of interviews with the legendary Rolling Stones guitarist.
