In partnership with the Vancouver Canadians, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation kicks off the baseball season every year with the Strike out Heart Disease Celebrity Softball Classic, a five-inning softball game featuring local celebrities (apparently I fall into that category), members of St. Paul’s Hospital and staff from presenting sponsors Blakes and Deloitte.
Last year, Strike Out Heart Disease helped purchase a state-of-the-art excimer laser for the provincial Heart Centre at St. Paul’s Hospital by raising $100,000 from donations and sponsorships!
When: Wednesday, June 24, 2015 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. (5 innings)*
Where: Scotiabank Field at Nat Bailey Stadium – 4601 Ontario Street, Vancouver, BC
* Gates open at 6:00 p.m. The Lafarge children’s play area is free for all kids and the concessions will be open so you can grab a hot dog and drinks.
