Hey it’s Scott Alan,
Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea took to Facebook over the weekend to blast the Plains All American Pipeline company, which was responsible for the pipeline failure that spewed 100,000 gallons of crude oil into the Pacific Ocean May 19th off the coast of Santa Barbara, California. Flea was incensed when he and his daughter went for a walk on the beach and his daughter stepped on a tar ball, most likely a result of the spill.
Flea wrote to the company that they “… will get away with a paltry fine that means nothing to you. You could have had a shut off valve but you saved cash there too. You are the worst kind of human beings, I am infuriated you disgust me.
The Chili Peppers are working on their 11th studio album, which is due out later this year and will follow up 2011’s I’m With You.
