Summer is coming, and every year we hear horror stories about kids or animals trapped in a hot car unattended. This can be incredibly dangerous! Of course, if you come across a situation like this, call the police immediately. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website:
“Even outside temperatures in the 60s can cause a car temperature to rise well above 110° F. When the outside temperature is 83° F, even with the window rolled down 2 inches, the temperature inside the car can reach 109° F in only 15 minutes.”
These temperatures can be permanently damaging to those left inside a hot car. So what do you do?
