Royal baby news: First pictures of Kate Middleton’s daughter as Duchess leaves hospital
This is the world’s first glimpse of Prince William and the Duchess of Cambridge with their new baby daughter and her brother Prince George.
The family left the Lindo Wing of St Mary’s Hospital after Kate gave birth at 8.34 this morning.
The Duke of Cambridge had earlier left the hospital in a Range Rover to pick Prince George up from Kensington Palace, before returning for the toddler to meet his new sister for the first time.
Bookies have been backing the names Alice and Charlotte for the little girl, who was delivered less than three hours after the Duchess was admitted to hospital in early labour.

Town Criers across London also announced the news on the streets of the capital this morning.
Kensington Palace said in a statement: “Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am. The baby weighs 8lbs 3oz.”
It added: “Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
